The Russian aggression in Ukraine is completely unjustified. Ukraine is not run by Nazis, and resistance by Ukrainians to Russia taking over their country is self-defense and not a threat to Russian society. The West has no designs to take over or obliterate Russia. The longer the war goes on, the lower Russia falls in the eyes of the world (including among the countries that publicly support Russia).
I will support the U.S. ensuring Ukrainian freedom by supplying funds and war materiel, for as long as it takes, sufficient to enable Ukraine to effectively prevent take-over by Russia. If we do not do this, Putin will be emboldened to do the same again (probably one or more of the Baltic countries). It is not clear yet whether it will be practicable for Ukraine to keep all of its eastern territory. If both sides run out of manpower, all sides may decide to let the people living there vote on whether to join Russia or stay with Ukraine. (It is a nasty ploy by Russia to infiltrate its citizens into the territories of other countries and then claim that since Russians are a majority (or an oppressed minority), Russia should take control of that territory.) I will also reassure Russia that the U.S. has no designs on it!
